Journal of agricultural and food chemistry. 2012; 60(12): 3260-3265. Conclusions: Given the key roles of advanced glycation end products (AGEs) and oxidation in the pathogenesis of diabetes, the sunflower sprout H. annuus rich in cynarin may be regarded as a beneficial food choice for diabetic patients.
